Recent … Free anyrail license key download software at UpdateStar - AnyRail makes it easy to create an accurate track plan for your model railway layout.
So, if you had a picture of the item you want to use, you can import it into the program and scale it as needed. The software won't let you edit the imported graphic, but, in the case of a track plan, you can lay AR track pieces over the plan, then edit the resulting track layout. That said, one of the things to come will be the ability to add scenery items to your own library.
This probably won't include track items any time soon, but at least you can draw objects and save them to a library. At present, the only way to do it is to draw something in a workspace and then save the workspace. This is made easier by the fact that you can easily have multiple instances of AR running without a huge load on your computer.
AR, for what it does, is remarkably easy on system resources. To keep corners square, use the 'Snap to Grid' checkbox as needed. After that, you can scale the round or oval shape as you want to by shift-clicking one of the corner or sides and dragging it to the shape you wanted. Once you have your drawing completed, select the entire shape and use the Group command to fix it as finished item.
In summary, yes, the program has limits, but it completely replaces the old pencil-and-paper scribbling of layout ideas. That's not its only use, either. It will also export to a program called TrainPlayer not written by David, look it up on the web , so that you can run trains on your design.
I hope this goes towards explaining things and offers you some really good reasons to buy a program license. You answered my questions completely and I'll most likely buy a license to AR very soon.
From my questions you can tell I am a real "Newbie" to AR, but with the software being so user-friendly, it won't be long before I can zip out track plan quickly. You seem to have answers my questions in to past, for other newcomers Jeff, I have tried "drawing buildings to scale", as you described and it works just fine.
You guys have put together a great program for us model RR folks! Keep up the good work and I'll keep my eye on the Forum for more good info on AR.
Yea, I know its misspelled. Hello, and welcome. Glad I am not the only one who wants more structures, but there is already an awful lot to offer elsewhere. I am certain that you will be happy with the program, it is a REAL eye-opener when it comes to trying out new ideas. The application comes with an impressive array of built-in objects and tracks you can add. Multiple libraries can be kept active to combine different elements, but your workspace gets crowded, with no options to merge them.
Tracks can be automatically combined for enhanced creation and editing options make sure size, color and format are not limited, nor limits for creativity. However, your projects only consist of visual design, with no library for train models or simulation systems. All things considered, we can safely state that AnyRail is a powerful visual design application with which you can create lush, fun and unique environments for miniature rail tracks, making it easier to build a full-scale project.
The interface gets you up and running in a jiffy, while the rich library of content and editing options make sure you're only limited by your imagination.
Create lush, unique environments for miniature rails by combining different scenery and track elements with support from rich editing options. AnyRail was reviewed by Mircea Dragomir.
